Three Sister’s Garden

Create your own historic Native American-type food garden in an ethical and respectful manner.

Spirit animals such as birds/hawks, turtles, deer, lizards or circular type mounds are used for designing a planting mound on your property. These mounds are places of reflection with the incorporated native plantings of corn, beans and squash (the Three Sisters). Stones, wood and natural features can also be added and specific animal outlines are available for purchase.

The outlines are die-cut and made out of waxed cardboard or a poly-substrate for reuse after creation of the mound. The kit is shipped directly to you and includes Native American seeds of the Three Sisters variety, which is corn, beans and squash. Instruction are included for positioning the plot, planting each type on a schedule and tending.

The stewardship connected to these historic plants and the garden are emphasized out of respect for Native American culture and lend to the spirituality of being connected to a plot of ground and the plants that sustain us.

Cost: $49.95 complete kit.

Die-cut outlines purchased separately $24.99 each.

Seeds $15/packet.

The Route 66 Knife Collection.

Own an incredible piece of American History. The Route 66 knife collection is a professionally forged kitchen and display knife crafted for Wood’s Goods Manufacturing LLC by Master Knife maker, Isaiah Schroeder, from high carbon bridge steel. This is steel from an actual Route 66 bridge built in 1930 and added as support on the individual stringer undersides as the bridge aged and vehicles became heavier.

The bridge was dismantled outside of Amboy, California by California Department of Transportation on the original Mother Road, Route 66, in 2017 after almost 88 years of continuous service. Components were then transferred for engineered load testing of the bridge’s long deck stringers at the U.S. Forest Service Forest Products Laboratory in Madison, WI. After testing the bridge stringers were transferred to my company to facilitate a study and then develop a model for repurposing previously tested wood structural materials. All of which was done under a co-op agreement with the U.S. Forest Service. This piece of true American transportation and forest history can now be owned by you. The knife handle is made of old growth Douglas Fir pine that was cut in Northern California and sawn into the 60 foot long deck support stringers. The handle made from these stringers has been vacuum treated with epoxy bonding agents by my company to add durability and beauty to the knife. The stringers and the handles made from them are probably in excess of 300 years old and will last for many more generations to come.

The history surrounding the elements in this iconic knife and its passage through time are truly amazing. From before the founding of our nation to the opening of the American west and the road to modern America these knives are a testament to our great nation and the people who built it.
